Frequently Asked Questions
What is this site about?
This site is built to help people from military families reconnect with each other. Whether you were a sponsor, dependent, or part of the broader military community, you can search by names, duty stations, and schools to find the people you shared that journey with.
Who is this site for?
It's for anyone connected to the military lifestyle:
• Sponsors (active duty, guard, reserve, or veterans)
• Dependents (spouses, children, family members)
• Military brats who grew up moving from base to base
• Anyone looking to reconnect with friends from military schools or duty stations

Why did you create this site?
Military life often means moving every few years. Friends and connections get left behind, and it can feel impossible to find them later. This site was created to give military families a way to reconnect — no matter how much time has passed or where life has taken them.
How does it work?
Members can register as a sponsor, a dependent, or both. Sponsors can add their service details and duty stations. Dependents can link to their sponsor and list the schools they attended. Together, this builds a searchable network of names, places, and shared experiences.
What makes this different from social media?
Most social media is built around where you live now. This site is focused on where you lived then — the duty stations, schools, and communities that shaped your life. It's not about likes or followers, it's about reconnecting with people who walked the same path.
Do I have to be active duty to join?
No. Veterans, retirees, spouses, and children of service members are all welcome. The goal is to include everyone whose life was shaped by the military lifestyle.
Can I suggest a school or location that's missing?
Yes. If you don't see your duty station or school listed, you can submit it for review. We're building the database to be as complete as possible, and community input is a big part of that.
Why is this important?
For many, the military was more than a job — it was a way of life. Childhood friends, mentors, and shared experiences often fade into memory because of constant moves. This site is about honoring that history and giving people a way back to those connections.
Is this site free to use?
Yes. Registration and searching are free. The goal is to build a community, not put up barriers.
What if I don't remember exact dates or details?
That's okay. Even partial information (like a duty station, year range, or school name) can help narrow down searches and make matches possible.
Can multiple dependents connect to the same sponsor?
Yes. Siblings, spouses, or other family members can all be linked to the same sponsor record, reflecting the real connections in military families.
What if I see my name or information already listed?
You can claim existing sponsor or dependent records that match you. If something isn't correct, you'll have the option to update it.
Is my information private?
Your account is protected by secure login. Only registered members can see detailed profiles, and you control what information you share.
I wasn't a military child, but I went to a school near a base. Can I join?
Not yet. We know that many civilian students went to schools alongside military dependents, and those friendships were just as real. Opening the site to civilian classmates is something we plan to add as a future feature, so those connections aren't lost either.
What about civilian neighbors or friends from local communities?
Not yet. We understand that many lasting friendships came from living near bases and connecting with families in the surrounding communities. Including civilian neighbors and friends is on our roadmap for the future so those bonds can be honored and reconnected too.
What if my sponsor or dependent has passed away?
You can still add them to honor their memory. Even though they may no longer be with us, those who knew them can still find the record and reach out to you or your family. It's a way for old friends, classmates, or fellow service members to share stories, memories, and moments that might otherwise be lost. In this way, their legacy continues, and the connections they made can live on.
