Terms and Conditions

MyMilitaryConnection is a product of Willow Information Technology Services, LLC, a veteran-owned and operated business. By creating an account or using MyMilitaryConnection, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Purpose of the Service

MyMilitaryConnection is an online platform for Active Duty service members, veterans, and military dependents to voluntarily record their service and location history, and to reconnect with others who shared similar experiences. This service is strictly for personal, non-commercial use.

2. Privacy and Security

• No tracking or geo-location: MyMilitaryConnection does not collect or display any data that can be used to track, geo-locate, or determine the current location of any user.
• User-controlled information: All information provided is voluntary and under the control of the user. Users can edit or remove their data at any time.
• Email privacy: The only information currently collected that could potentially be used to contact or identify a user is their email address, which is never displayed to or shared with other users or third parties within the database. The email address is used solely for account management, verification, and password recovery.
• No third-party searches: The system is not intended for third parties (including law enforcement, marketers, or other external entities) to locate or contact individuals. Any attempt to use the database for unauthorized searches or to obtain information about others without their consent is strictly prohibited.
• No commercial use: User data will never be sold, rented, or shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

3. User Responsibilities

• You agree to use MyMilitaryConnection only for its intended purpose: reconnecting with others from your military community.
• You must not attempt to collect, scrape, or harvest data from the site for any third-party or external use.
• You must not impersonate another individual or provide false information.
• You must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ information or to the site’s systems.

4. Account Termination

• You may delete your account and associated data at any time.
• Willow Information Technology Services, LLC reserves the right to remove any account that violates these terms.

5. Data Security & Indemnification

• Willow Information Technology Services, LLC will take reasonable measures to protect your data, including secure storage and limited access controls.
• You understand and agree that, despite these precautions, no system is completely secure.
• By using this service, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Willow Information Technology Services, LLC, its owners, and its operators from any and all claims, losses, damages, or liabilities resulting from a data breach or unauthorized access to your information.
• If you believe your account has been compromised, notify us immediately.

6. Waiver of Lawsuit and Arbitration

• By agreeing to these terms, you expressly waive the right to bring any lawsuit against Willow Information Technology Services, LLC or its owners/operators in the event of a data breach or unauthorized disclosure of information.
• Instead, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the site, or any alleged breach shall be resolved exclusively through final and binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
• You agree that any arbitration will be conducted individually and not as part of a class action.

7. Changes to Terms

• These Terms and Conditions may be updated from time to time.
• Continued use of MyMilitaryConnection constitutes acceptance of any changes.

8. Relationship to Privacy Policy

Use of the Service is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains our data collection, cookie usage (including Google AdSense), and advertising practices. Please review the Privacy Policy carefully.
